Zenit Club is promoted by a group of parents in cooperation with Rivalto for youngsters aged 10 to 18.
Following the example of various similar activities organized in Italy and abroad, Zenit Club activities are in line with the educational activities carried out in family, the first and the most important origin of education.
Zenit Club aims at favouring a harmonious development of youngsters’ personalities through a formation of human and spiritual nature and a set of activities designed to stimulate their interests, creativity, and the capacity of relating with others. It was also created with the aim of giving the boys a possibility of passing their free time in a healthy way, according to family and Christian educational principles.
Zenit Club is divided into Junior Club (age 10 to 13) and Senior Club (age 14 to 17) and it is supported by selected and qualified tutors. It also require for each boy the payment of an amount for covering the expenses.
Junior Club
The activities are divided in ordinary and extraordinary. The ordinary activities take place once a week and include:
- model-making;
- painting tin soldiers;
- creating Club’s magazine;
- writing a comic-strip story;
- attending meetings with important guests talking about their experiences;
- taking part in a speech on human virtues and qualities (friendship, sincerity, sense of responsibility, values of work, fortitude, obedience, order, generosity, cheerfulness);
- organizing afternoon snacks in turns;
- playing intelligent games.
The extraordinary activities include trips, football tournaments and camping holidays.
Senior Club
For secondary school boys Zenit Club offers a “Weekly Training” in order to achieve fundamental skills for an harmonic grow and for excellent performances in life. These can be divided into four areas: Study, Maturity, Relationships, Top-Performance (S.MA.R.T. project).
Weekly training provides a study activity for two hours, a brief formative speech for everybody and an individual tutoring chat.
There are also the “Weekend activities”, generally leisure activities concerning sport or culture, where boys can make experience of sharing interests and take fun in common without loosing a right project for life.
